Hi,

My Ideal Response Combi boiler's pilot light seems to have gone out.
I can't see how I can relight it.

The pressure is low, (about point:cool: and I can see the orange light that people talk about is on.

The system sounds like it is operating ok - it seems to turn on the fan, and try to work, but I am getting no heat.

Any advice? How do I increase the pressure - I can't see any controls to do this.

Thanks

Kath

It doesn't have a pilot.
If the low pressure light is on, it should do diddly squat.
To fill it look at the FAQ's.
SOmetimes the pressure switches stick - 0.8 bar should be OK.
Put it up a bit and leave it, sometimes the pressure gets through a blockage.
If the fan starts, can you hear it ticking as it tries to light (listen outside)

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the response. It seems to have started up again for the moment, but I have been informed (as a new resident in the UK from a hot country!) that boilers require servicing!

So, first thing will be a service in the next few weeks. Up to now it has worked perfectly, so touch wood it was just becuase I left it off in the cold for a few days.

Thanks again

Kath
