Hi all,

I have got a Glow Worm Energysaver 40 Condensed boiler and the ignition system stopped working a few days ago.
The boiler turns on but the ignition spark does not even attempt to ignite. I took a look at the main PCB and it looks fine (nothing has seem to blown up) although one of the diodes looks too blackish but is difficult to tell
Any ideas on what can be wrong? Could it be that the main PCB is faulty?
Thanks

There could be many different causes.

We don't give DIY advice on gas/combustion issues here.

But you could check other aspects but not including opening the combustion chamber.

I think my friend has a brand new one still in the box!

I wont open the combustion chamber. But a friend suggested the PCB may have gone. It is easy to replace without any tools. Just to clarify, the circulation pump seem to run as normal so it seems the ignition system is faulty
