In car camera recorders. Any opinions?

Sorry not been back on, few personal issues at the moment. Will carry on researching and let you know if I get something.

I have heard good reviews of the Nextbase range at Halfords. (do your own research though).

Watch the resolution claimed, they may say its 1080p but that may only be when taking a still image, and the video is in 640x480 poop view.
Do let us know (with links to sources) what you eventually go for.
I quite fancy a dual cam myself.

Heck, why not get 2 and do the sides too :)

I'm pretty sure that will involve more than 1 camera itself and be a tad more expensive than 2 dual cams.

I have a Nextbase dashcam.. I think its the 312GW, I'd tried one of the cheap lidl specials and it worked fine until Mrs motorbiing stood on the cable in the motorhome and ripped the USB socket out. The nextbase I have was around £100 but only does front. I wasn't interested in rear. It does GPS and speed also, has a parking sensor mode which is handy and a microphone (less handy).

My only comment is that they are very wide angle, and when you combine the audio with the footage, you do sound a bit aggressive.

Since I'm in my tin box, they can't hear me call them a f***ing tw** for cutting me up with half a car length. The camera of course makes it look like there was a lot more space.

For a twin cam setup the old spycams are good, I used to use those on my bikes before I got a go pro. £25

can be stuck to anything with velcro - has the advantage of being small.
