indesit WIL143S Hydraulic strut gone?

On fast spin machine makes an horrendous noise and the outerdrum is wobbling all over the place.

one of the two hydraulic struts seems to have far too much grease around the bottom of the strut.

is it the bearing that has actually gone, or a i suspect, is it possible for the seal on the strut to go?

strut needs grease to work .is there play in the inner drum is there brown water marks on the floor underneath mc ,is it noisey when empty.

no play in inner drum, no brown water marks. very noisy when empty.

spin drum by hand is it a smooth feel or ruff and bumpy.
