I own a holiday home, which i obviously let out, how often am i supposed to have the electrics checked & tested etc, and roughly how much does it cost?

It is not obvious you let it out, not until you told us!

To my mind, you are best having a Periodic Inspection Test & Report done on the full installation. Costs are not discussed here, but I'mnot up to speed on those anyway.

About every 5 years.
Cost depends if any remedial work needs to done, but assuming none expect to pay £170 or so.
