Hi,

I'm hoping to install a slimline dishwasher in place of a cupboard which is next to my washing machine.

What would I need to do to take a water feed from the existing washing machine water supply, and to sort out the waste? (currently theres a stand pipe for the washing machine).

Thanks for any advice.

Extend you cold water feed, does your new dishwasher need hot too? if so run it off the kitchen sink hw or nearest point and fit a new washing machine connector (just a euphemism for a 3/4 inch threaded connector that incorporates an isolation valve)....as for waste....ideally extend this and fit a new upstand...or connect into the existing BUT you need to check that if both empty at the same time they don't cause an overflow

Thanks for the reply.

I don't have the dishwasher yet, so not sure if it needs hot and cold.

Washing machine just uses cold, so the hot supply is currently unused. (Its the opposite side of the kitchen from the sink)

How would I fit and extra stand pipe?

It wont need a hot water supply, & you should not have a problem using the same waste pipe
