Hi, I'm installing a spirovent air eliminator to my baseboard hot water heating system, and I would like to install it without turning off the oil burner as I don't know how to re-light it. Is this possible, or should I have it installed by a professional. Thanks.

i am not a plumber or heating engineer, but i should say if in doubt call some one out. but i would also say you should do it when everything is off and cold, does your boiler not have a button marked ignition? what does the manual say?

you should have an installation and servicing handbook which will say how to light the burner. If you don't have one, either get one from the manufacturers or get someone to do it for you.
