Insualtion a loft hatch door

I dont want to but a full roll of insulation, but Iam unsure of how to best insulate the hatch door, it is a drop down door with currently no insulation. I think alot of our heat rises through there as we have an open staircase into our sitting room.

Any tips or ideas?
