conservatories are made of glass and plastic. They are not adequately insulated. They do not have proper walls or proper roofs or proper windows. That's why they are considered to be outbuildings, and you are required to have an external grade of door to shut them off from the house, to avoid wasting energy by pouring heat into them that goes straight into the great outdoors.
