I have a question regarding an Intergas system boiler. The boiler has the ability to control a diverter valve using pins 5 and 6 on X2. The normal mode of operation is to open the diverter valve to Port A for CH. Can the boiler be configured to open the diverter to Port A for HW? So that with the valve deactivated the flow is to CH and on a need for HW the valve opens to port A.

It could by using a relay, but can the boiler itself be setup that way using a parameter?

As you need to be gas registered to be poking around in the electrics (and g3 qualified if it is an unvented cylinder), register for the combustion chamber section of the forum and all will be revealed.

Ok, so I'm assuming that it's Parameter A that provides the option. But is this available in the SB version?

So in answer to the question, yes Parameter A does exist on the HRE SB although it's not mentioned in the manual. In fact there is a lot not mentioned in the manual.

However with following setup it's possible to get a W Plan working, in this case with a Nest:

Parameter 1 =1 (Heating and DHW Tank)
Parameter A = 1 (Valve activated during DHW demand)
HW tank thermistor across X4 pins 9 and 10
Diverter valve across X2 pins 5 and 6 (Port A to the HW tank)
Nest Heatlink Opentherm connections to X4 pins 11 and 12
Nest CH and HW control set to Opentherm
Nest set to 'True Radiant'
Boiler HW control set to 'DHW comfort function eco' (although this is stated as n/a for HRE SB)
Boiler CH control set to 'C-ON'

Not bad (y)

It's worth pointing out that not all boilers show the preheat button on the fascia but that it's still there in the same place ready to be activated ;)
