Internal insulating render/coating?

Hi all,

I was wondering if there are any coatings that can be to internal walls to increase the insulation? My house is solid wall construction, and internal plaster boarding is not an option as the rooms are not huge and have original cornicing and would just cause too much disruption. I've heard of additives that can be added to paints but the increase in insulation is tiny.

Thanks.

There are additives or foam type wallpapers but they will have no noticeable effect in preventing heat loss. There are no magic solution. They have been discussed before on the Forum. Internal insulation or external insulation (if your house is rendered) are the only possible solutions. Obviously roof and floor insulation can be increased, ensuring all those little cracks and airgaps in the walls are all sealed up (good ventilation aside), good windows, thicker curtains etc etc can all help to retain heat.
