Hi.

I,m trying to trace a fault on lighting circuit that blows fuse after about 1 minute.

2 x circuits are wired into 1 x fuse. When i split circuits i get dead short between Ph & Cpc on both circiuts.

Can anyone suggest something.

I take it you disconnected the neutrals at the CU? (thinking TN system)
Have you taken the lamps out? Any signs of DIY? Wired as a ring?

As far as i know, all lamps were out and neutrals disconnected. Will be 100% sure when i go back at weekend.

Does anyone know a good refresher site/book for fault finding?

Thanks for replies.

Hi.

Thanks for all replies.

Turned out to be fault on 1 circuit. Other circuit giving bad readings due to hidden pir halogen light at other side of building.( After owner told me no other lights.)

All repaired and happy now.
