Politicians need to realise that democracy isn't a concept its a way of life and it cannot be ignored when it suits their cause or used as the justification for fighting unjust wars ... The people of this country aren't as daft as they seem to think ... As I'm sure El Gordo will realise after the next general election. ;)

The desicions were made democratically ages ago, If we try to alter that then the whole process of democracy itself will become worthless.

The EU is process, the End game being single european state with the uk being a province of europe rather than a sovereign state. The fact that the irish rejected it changes nothing, the will rejig it and then resubmit it until the get the answer they want , democracy has nothing to do with it, the threat that the irish would pay a heavy price for their rejection shows what a monster the EU is becoming.

No. That is the Europe we SHOULD have had.

No. That is the Europe we SHOULD have had.
and it would be if people didnt keep trying to change the goalposts, same with government here, once elected they should be allowed to get on with the job

They should be allowed to get on with the job as vaunted in their manifesto - no other.

The manifesto gets them into government but they still have to get on with the day to day business unhindered.

Not major policy. That requires a referendum.

I'm with joe90  , we voted to enter a common market, not a European super state with overarching powers over our own parliament.
