Ironing board help

Hello all.
So I have a mesh ironing board and recently when I iron I can see the mesh pattern on my clothes.
There is s much advice our there with everyone trying to sell a replacement.
So what should I buy
4mm foam backed new one or should I just buy 10mm foam and. Put it under the existing cover.
Please give me an idea of what I should buy.
