Is it possible to move a fireplace to the centre of a room

I am just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to move a fireplace to the centre of a room after having an extension done. The chimney goes up the inside of the house as it is a semi. Also if anyone has an idea of cost that would be useful too

Yes, it's possible. Is it feasible and within a budget? You'll need to supply more info'. For instance: which room relative to the existing chimney? How far from the existing chimney? House construction type? Floor type? What's above the proposed location? What type of fire is proposed. There'll maybe more info' reqired but it's a start.

And I'll probably not be able to help much further 'cos I'm no expert.
