Hi all

I'm in the planning of building a wooden garage 4x7 metres in a space currently block paved.
My question is when I've removed the area of pavers needed for the garage what more do I need to do to the pavers sub base before I can concrete over it?
I'm aware it depends a lot on the make up of the current sub base. But is it somthing possible or do I need to take out pavers and still put down MOT type 1 , DPM,steel bars and the whole works? Many thanks phil

If it's a sound base and not just soil then it can be concreted over. Can't you leave the pavers and go over them?

Hi was thinking that?
Maybe 150mm of concrete over the pavers or 100mm? And then ramp up front edge?

Thanks for reply

The garage prefab wooden company that may supply the wooden garage have specified 150mm pad so I guess I'm stuck with that size.
Will defo leave them down though, make a wooden frame put a DPM sheet in some metal frame and then concrete? I've never done a large pad before do you get a lorry to pour it in? 4x7m is a large area don't fancy doing that with a mixer Any rough price? It gonna be ? Thanks phil
