Is this hip tile mortared properly?

Jus had a roofer in, who has just done a few days out of a scheduled 3 week job.
Has just mortared (or remortared) a bottom hip tile.
we are having expensive scaffolding up as he is due to do a load more.
I know hip tiles arent pretty, but just wondered what you thought of this?
He did the bottom one.
Am thinking of cancelling him, as although a nice man, it just doesnt seem competent to me. Or am i being picky?

Very poor finish, perhaps he used the same hammer on your lead as well.

Cancel him .
Get a competent roofer who won't simply smudge mortar over the old . It will fall off

No, it was a chap who has been used by friend. Did a nice job at theres. Maybe he just doesnt like me!

I wouldnt dare mention it! My friend is great great friends with this bloke, and socialises with him. Shall try n get out of it elegantly. Their work looks okay to me (or maybe its covered up better!))
