Hello,
I (foolishly) allowed Allied Carpets to fit my new laminate floor yesterday. Apart from a catalogue of errors ranging from not using underlay in some areas to leaving a 2 inch expansion gap in some areas (my skirting board are thick but not that thick), or no expansion gap in other areas, they used an underlay labelled as Isolene. It appears to be a foam underlay, about 4 to 5 mm thick, with a foil backing.
Does anyone know anything about this underlay and whether it is fit for use with a laminate floor?
Thanks very much
