Lost HW a while back, but thanks to reading up on here had the diaphram replaced and all was fine

Last few days the HW temp has started to flutuate. Boiler fires up when tap is opened and nearly reaches max temp 46/47 degrees ( HW set to 55) then boilers cuts out, temp falls back to 36/37 degrees then fires up again.
Any ideas on what needs replacing next ?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply
2x HE (Heat Exchangers ?) in the last year......... don't ask

Could it be some sort of tempreture control ? like a thermostate ?

if uve had 2x heat exch in the last year and not had system flushed out its more likely blocked plate/plate again, get it flushed then change plate

Had the system flushed and 2nd heat exch fitted
Then had the diaphram changed a little while after.
All worked fine for a time, but I'm losing HW again

There is a difference between having the system "flushed" with no guarantee or having it "power flushed" with a guarantee!

Don't forget the most popular, powerflushed with no guarantee

I had not forgotten that either but it was not relevant to the point that any trusted engineer with a good reputation who knew that he was going to do it properly would give a guarantee.

Well unless you know the installer doing the job, the number of untrustworthy engineers and 'powerflush specialists' far outnumber the good

To me, powerflushing is a license to print money.

No disrespect to any engineers, but after contacting the company that did my system flush when the next problem occurred they were either unwell or had no transport.
Understandably I've lost all confidance in them
