John Lewis Washer/Drier JLBIWD1403 control problem

Can anyone help me with a problem I am having with a John Lewis JLBIWD1403 washer drier.

The display works intermittently but then goes completely blank. The machine then fails to do anything at all. If the power is isolated on the wall overnight the machine will sometimes, when switched back on, perform one or two washes before the problem occurs again.

Sometimes the display backlight is illuminated but no numbers are shown on the display.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a fix??

Managed to get an error code E41 from the machine. Does this help?
