Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me about the DPC positioning for a setup like below

I am planning to run two layers of dpc, one for each course and where the new wall meets old turn it up vertically around 6 inches.

Is that the best way to do it?

I've also read that you need to cut a slot between the two wall starters and vertically insert a dpc so it sits in the slot and new cavity too. Then make sure it sits against the insulation on the external side.

Are both of these steps right?

Both right.

The vertical DPC would be in line with the back of the outer skin of bricks - ie 100mm in from the corner.

Horizontal DPC's should lap, but turning it up is normally done instead.
