Joint Jenie alternatives?

Sponsored Links
I have one, am a joiner by trade, and yes it is an excellent, well engineered tool.

I've used other dowel jigs in the past, but none compare for accuracy, simplicity and speed.

I thought I was the only one that had one..... :(

There are plenty of cheaper alternatives but none anywhere near as good.

Compared to biscuit jointing.....I would go with dowels every time.

(....btw.....I haven't been on here for a while, but when I saw the post about the joint genie, I just felt compelled to sing its praises ! :D )

I saw a video of it in action on getwoodworking.com I think at it looked awesome! Its just soooo expensive, do you think the hobbyist wood worker could cope well with the smallest version (its still £39!)?

Cheers

you realy need around half an inch hardend to stop the holes getting bigger and the holes comming out at an angle if you dont hold the drill properly
