had my boiler moved 4yrs ago by a plumer.
just changed over my primatic cylinder to a indirect with header tank.
( along with new main header tank).

my understanding( did plumbing training about 18yrs ago as part of a trade apprenticship) is that the heat exchanger coil should first get hot at the top inlet to the cylinder and then the bottom outlet of the coil should get warm as the hot water works its way down by loosing its heat to the dhw. not knowing how primatics work in detail are they plumbed in the other way up or has plumer goofed 4 yrs ago.
easy fix but dont want to fix if i have it wrong
thanks

The short answer is that it makes v little difference.
If the coil is tall, going in at the top stabilises stratification.
