I have a coffee machine with and integral boiler. Is it possible to test the operation of the boiler with a multimeter. Continuity or something like that? Is the element working - that's what I need.Thanks for your help

Yes you can test the element if your mutimeter has an ohms setting.
If it reads infinity or open circuit or zero then it's probably goosed. A rough guestimate of the reading you should get assuming a 2kW heater would be 30 ohms but anything between about 15 and 100 would suggest it's OK.
