Hi we are looking at giving our kitchen a re-face with new doors trims, worktops etc.

We have had a quote from a local company which includes approx 20 off doors, new worktops, new plinths, various trims etc.plumbing in sink, hob etc The current doors are all non standard sizes.

The complete price installed is about £3500

Now i know i can buy doors from other places for about £25 per door, vinyl covered stuff so my question is should i tackle this job myself and buy the doors but what about the worktops as cutting and fitting them is outside my skill level i think !

Any advice or should i accept that i have to pay this sort of money.

Also we looked at the B & Q type of kitchen for complete re-fit but this wouldnt be practical due to the time involved and the disruption etc.

So what do we do is the question
