Kitchen socket failed after wiring in new oven

If you know for sure the socket is on a different circuit ,no point checking the fuse on the cooker circuit

If I switch off the oven at the board, everything else still works. Maybe the socket or switch has just died, but seems odd that it was working until I swapped the oven over.

Nothing tripped, and fuses are all ok

How do you know the fuse is ok? Have you tested it?

I swapped it over with the one for the extrator fan, and that still worked ok

Well I don't know what the hells going on. I tried switching the dryer on when I got home from work, and now everthings working again.
Just checked the back of the oven anyway, had the faceplates off and there's no way I could have disturbed any cables.

How can an outlet not work for two days, then start working again?

I'm getting an electrician in just to check everything, but all outlets and switch panels are fine from what I can see.

Loose connection probably.

Check for no loose connections or internal failure of the socket.

It can develop a high resistance connection but I doubt that was the case.

Dust can get in switches, that could be/have been the problem.

Well the electrician came out yesterday and checked everything.

Oven nothing to do with tumble dryer
Checked oven and tumble dryer sockets, switches, fuses

No fault found, everything safe

Mystery!
