Knocking Radiators

My rads keep making a knocking sound, I assume when the TRV's are shutting down. There's an automatic bypass valve fitted and the system is all fernoxed. Is there any way of getting rid of the noise?

trv,s are on the wrong side .take the top off and see if the noise stops ,if so its a switch job

Radiators have kept me warm for years and earned me a living so stop knocking them.

Not sure about them being on the wrong side, the TRVs are all bidirectional and I seem to remember it was OK when all the TRVs were all fully on during installation. Only really started to notice the noise after the TRVs were turned down because some of the rooms were too warm. Could go back to having all the TRVs fully open (as some are) but then why install TRVs.

Your bypass may need adjusting.
Try opening it a touch to see if that helps.

What would that do? (don't know enough about bypasses)
