After the Algeria game in the last world cup he went straight to the press with his grievances, as Capello said he should have talked to him if he had something to say.

I had forgotten about that, Sooey. Just been reading this to re-familiarize myself with the incident. In hindsight, it seems pretty odd that Capello was, subsequently, so supportive of JT given past issues. Or was the position he took (when the captaincy was withdrawn from Terry following the Anton F incident) just so he could quit his post on a matter of ‘principle’ because he genuinely wanted to depart as England manager?
