Hi,

My cistern flushes about 10 litres, at a guess. I don't want to replace it as it matches the rest of the suite. The operating handle is on the side.

I recently I used a Duofold toilet cistern which, although its handle was on the side, gave the option of a minor or a major flush. You held the handle down for the minor. For the major flush you just let the handle go as normal.

Is it possible to get the innards of a Duodold and fit them to an ordinary cistern such as in my bathroom?

Any advice would be welcomed.

Fit a Fluidmaster flapper valve.
There's a version for side flush and it is dual flush.

Plumbase and Buildbase stock them and have branches in Salop.
