latex over plywood

Hi tictic and thanks for your input. What is an insulation board you just mentioned? After the several pieces of advice i have received, i am tempted to ditch the little sheet of ply that is screwed down on to the concrete and after using a dehumidifier i would use some liquid dpm as i do not know whether it has been put one at the time and then make up the 25-28mm depth with some latex slc and feather edge slightly over where the new slc depth meets the existing concrete subfloor.....as prceramics advised earlier on i will check with Ardex to see whether they have a latex slc with max 48 hour set off time. I will then use some acrylic primer over the new slc and the old concrete subfloor and then use probably Mapei Keraflex S1 as addy. What do you think guys?
The use of the little piece of ply would only come in the equation if the latex slc has a longer set off time for the above mentioned depth, as i do not have much time to wait for it to dry off and tile over......only two weeks to finish the whole bathroom before wife and kids are back. Thanks again.
