LCD TV stand (not wall mounted)

Just bought 42 lcd, put the tv onto the old stand that had the 32" crt.
It looks cr**p.
All I want is a corner stand to suit a 42", eveything I am looking at is about 500mm high (its currently sitting at 400mm)

I dont want to spend loads ££ & only need 1 shelf (ie base).

Any one got any links, it would be appreciated.

I bought a 42 inch plasma 6 months ago,the volume is stuck on high and I am selling it for £100,you cant turn that down

I know the feeling. Most seem to be 500mm high - did spot this one a little while ago - if you like black glass and if not too wide. About £130.

Have you looked at Ikea range some reasonably priced wood stands although not sure if they do corner units. The ones on legs could possibly be trimmed down to fit in with your height requirements

I have a 37" using an Ikea "LACK" coffee table in the black/brown colour as a stand which looks great and looks MUCH more expensivethan the £12 it is (very solid too):

IKEA or Argos are the starters for 10... they have dozens of tv stands....

You will find when you are looking for a corner unit & less than 500mm high, there isnt much about. I think I will look at the argos one & see if its possible to reduce the height.
