My toilet is leaking around the base, will it be the black seal in the pan connector that I need to replace? Thanks.

Change the complete pan connector. It will pull out, just don't take it to a plumbers merchant to match it.

looks just as likely to be or have been leaking from the dodgy looking inlet above.

I’ve got a new flush cone connector, do I just pull the toilet away to disconnect the flush pipe?

Hold onto the flush pipe and the pull the toilet away, you don't want to put any strain on the flush pipe.

clean all the old silicone off before refitting the rubber.
