hi - we have had a go at plumbing our washing machine - hot and cold supply ok but the joints to the non-retun valve in our waste pipe are leaking despite jubilee clips. Should be try another method of fixing these joints to stop them leaking? Do we actually need the non-return valve to stop back siphonage from the waste connection (to sink trap)?
