hello

Apologies in advance if this seems a silly post but i know very little about electrics

Having my hallway re-skimmed, and am going to change the lights
the hallway is 6m by 2m and 2.4m high, currently have 1 positioned in the middle of the hallway with 3 60w bulbs.

The hallway is still quite dark and i want to brighten it up a bit but not sure of the option to go with

I was thinking either downlights at 1m intervals or 2 light fittings instead of the one, I heard that the bulbs on the downlights blow very quickly and cost a fair bit compared to normal bulbs?

Also if I stayed with the single light fitting but fitted one with 5 bulbs would this make a great deal of difference?

I have phoned 2 electricians but neither have turned up and i need to buy the lights before I go away on saturday

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

thanks
