Hello all,
I am about to have loft insulation fitted via a local Gov grant
but have recently installed 15 downlighters in the ceiling, does anyone have any idea as to what kind of shroud I could place around them to protect them from over heating.I have been told to use 6 inch terracotta plant pots but I,m having trouble finding a supplier..

thanx for looking any advice would be very welcome

build a little plasterboard or chipboard box around each light, best leave it with no top to aid heat dissipation.

Do you need anything round them? I just left a few inches clear of insulation either side of mine.

If you wish to keep the sound and heat insulation properties of the ceiling (bedrooms in particular) then you need something, downlights are quite draughty.
