I think I have moved into bodgit valley.. :D

No wonder my bath has been bouncy & squeeky in the middle, because of a leaky loo pipe & a little flooding UI removed the bath panel (something I have been wanting to do for a while yet dreading).

Why on earth did the plonka that did this not pick up the bit of thicker floorboard thats right next to it & use that instead?

Now I have another little job to fix. :D View media item 13616

Do tell more about this human hand!

Under my bath seems to be full of redundant pipework that I cant actually remove, I always wondered how to middle of the bath is meant to be held up. Mine just has a massive great lump of hardwood wedged between the bottom of the bath and a joist.

When i took the side off our bath a few years ago i found a junction box directly beneath the plughole. Someone had obviously cut into this wire to run a new cable to THE GARAGE!! Luckily for us, the bath plug hole had never leaked but the power to the garage is no longer beneath the bath!!!

Bloke just moving into house as we are doing heating , says i will take bath panel off for ya save you a bit of time.
Next day big smile on his face £500 hidden behind it

Wow.

Clearing a shelf ready to run some pipes and I moves a big pewter mug (say 3 1/2" diameter). Inside the mug was a tight roll of notes, mainly £50's and £20's - so tight you could hardly have squeezed another in.

There was a layer of dust on top!

Gave to woman of house and she tutted and said - "he'll have forgotton about that... always doing that he is..."

She told him later (I overheard)... he didn't seem that interested...

Love your soldering Matt, really artistic.

Not mine, its from the previous occupants, nothing that was done in this house ever seems to have been done well.
When I start on the bathroom its going to be ripped out & done right.

Till then I'll stiffen the wood a little :D

There seems to be only enough room for a floorboard width bit, but I'm thinking of also sticking a shorter bit screwed underneath it for now.
