Hello
I have a raised manhole cover currently residing in the middle of a flower bed. As this flower bed restricts use of our small patio we are getting rid of it. What trade to I need to talk to to get the manhole cover lowered so it sits flush with the patio. It's raised by about 2 inches. (I do not want to move it to another site, just lower it).
Thank you

If it is a large round chamber with a reducing biscuit on top then you are in for some real hard work.

The same applies if the chamber is particularly deep as it will become difficult to clear out the channel below.

If however it is constructed from say brick, is reasonably shallow then a reduction in height should be straight forward.
