You could disconnect the flow and return pipes from the boiler and connect a power flush machine directly onto it.
You have to be a little careful here: The power flush machines used for boiler flushing is smaller and weaker than for whole system flushing. The real risks are with combi boilers, the diverter valve can get damaged
If the system is small, it would be easier to do the whole system which includes the primary circuit anyway.
It is faster because:
- you don't need to drain it down
- don't need to connect into funny places at funny angles, depending on where the boiler is fitted and how accessible it is.
- risk damage to the boiler by using a machine that is too strong
