I heard this on the news this morning. The rules for adoption are, apparently, different in Northern Ireland than they are in the rest of the UK. Only married couples and single people are allowed to adopt.
Am I missing something here? What is the difference in law between an unmarried couple, whether homo or hetero, and two single people. What's to stop them from adopting a baby each?
