Hi, does anybody know the best way to paint a stair way that has chipboard paper and vinyl silk over it ,i want to paint it with a mat finish, thanks

Its fine to just go straight over it with vinyl matt..
Buy a decent 'branded' emulsion though, not a diy store 'own label' ...
