Hi all
Im looking to run some 25mm MDPE in the concrete floor of an attached double garage to an outside tap on the garage wall. Do i need to insulate the pipe? the garage has no heating, so should i still be looking to 750mm depth or can I manage with some insulalation.
Greatful for any help
Cheers
Dave.

If you don't run any water in the pipe then you can leave it very shallow and uninsulated.

If it's under concrete then you will have to run the pipe in a duct. Seeing as it's in a duct you are halfway to being exempt from the requirement to lay at 750mm - other half being insulation.Insulate it in the duct (good quality wrap around waterproof insulation such as "Armaflex").

to an outside tap on the garage wall.

Make sure there is a control on the pipe and install a double check valve inside the garage.

Do i need to insulate the pipe?

See above

Hope this helps...
