MDPE Water Pipe

I am wanting to run a water supply to my garage using mdpe pipe 20mm. I understand that this has to be at a depth of 750mm is this correct? In addition what is the best way to insulate the run of pipe which is underground. Any info would be gratefully received

Depth is to negate the need for insulation.

Yes a Dan has informed you, installing a pipe in a trench of between 750mm-1350mm depth, will mean the pipe will not require insulation.

Thanks Dan, a quick question, is it advisable to run mdpe pipe I some kind of sleeve. ie 110mm drainage pipe?

You can if you like. No need for it though.

Make sure the bottom of the trench is covered in a layer of sand:

Your pipe should be laid in a trench at a depth of at least 750mm but no more than 1350mm. The pipe must be protected from stones, either bedded in fine sand or laid in suitable ducting. The pipe should be 25mm and of an approved material. Larger diameter pipes may be required if your water demand is high or your pipe run is very long. (Fig 1). If you are unsure, you should contact your plumber for advice.

Reference my water supply to garage project I have another question if anyone can help. The water supply is for a washing machine and obviously it will discharge waste water which has to be drained to foul rather than rainwater. Normal underground drainage pipes are 110mm which seems a bit over the top for one washing machine can anyone recommend an alternative drainage system which has a smaller bore and is suitable for use underground as the pipe run is approx. 6mtrs to the nearest drain which takes the waste water from the kitchen sink and dishwasher. Any advice would be appreciated.
