mid position valve

afternoon. quick query. leak from the vented indirect cylinder flow union.
mid position honeywell diverter valve. since these valves when de energised default to hot water open is there anyway of moving the rubber ball so that the hot water side is blocked off thus stopping the leakage from the cylinder union until it can be repaired at later date??? cheers

if you shut the valve off to hw it will still leak as the coil inside is full of water and it will come in the return pipe (bottom pipe) which 9/10 you can not isolate.

only way to stop it is drain the system if its that bad.
