Hi, I have a back boiler in my living room fireplace with an air vent on the other side of the room. I was thinking of putting up a conservatory in my back garden. The side of the conservatory will be close to the vent, but I don't think there will be any ventilation issues. How much space do I need to leave between the air vent and the conservatory wall? Is there a minimum clearance required by law?

I would say that you should expect to have the width of the vent clear in front of it.

No rules but common sense says that at some point it would become obstructed.
