MIRA Sprint - power light turns off when unit button pressed

HI, I have a 3 year old Mira Sprint shower 9.5kw.
Power is via a pull cord on the ceiling which appears to be working (although the Power led on the Shower unit seems dimmer).
However, when I press the button on the shower unit to start the water, the Power light on the shower unit turns off and water does not come out.

Anybody have any ideas?

You've got a bad connection on the mains cable more likely in the pullcord.
Check the pullcord connections for burnt or loose connections.
