Mixer shower on a combi

Hi all and thanks in advance for any replies.
If installing a mixer shower from a combi, would it be best to connect as close as you can to the boiler ? ie before any taps.
Would this help to reduce loss of pressure if other taps where opened ?
Boiler is a worcester 28i

Any decent mixer valve if its thermostatically controlled should control the flows of both hot and cold and as long as your boiler is providing adequate hot water which I presume it is. Putting it close to the boiler will reduce the time it takes to get hot water there but its not likely to stop fluctuation in water pressure if someone opens a tap if you are in the shower. Hopefully your hot water system and boiler capability have been matched so that you can cope with multiple demands for hot water so that the worst you will see is a slight slowing of the hot water which may pass unnnoticed or if hot water pressure at the outlets drops right off with 2 or 3 demands for it then the boiler cant heat the water quick enough at the desired pressure or demand.
