mold? help

Hi all, was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what this is , bathroom window sill, above bath, with above bath shower so its always wet, anyway the front if the sill has split and now there seems to be a silvery coloured growth coming out of the wood its about the size and shape of a kids bouncy ball and seems to be textured with little lines, I will try and upload a picture I have taken but it says uploads disabled. Iv never seen anything like this.

Hi thanks for the reply, umm I suppose it could be if I could explain it better it looks like a little brain its silvery gray with lots of wee lines and is stuck to the wood like its come out of the cracked wood and is kind of wrapped around the wood.

Start by improving the ventilation and hence the humidity

has it started generating any "dust" or is there any sign of red or brown spores nearby?

god knows how much dammage is done behind the tiles
you do better not to use the shower untill you have made it shower proof by fitting a screen or curtain across the window

then either pull the tiles off or wait untill they fall off but no longer that 6 months to fully investigate
