I'm going to get one for some minor repointing on brickwork but there are 3 in the catalogue. What's the most popular size?

I'd get the standard Marshalltown one with 5/8 at one end and 3/4 at the other. Both are useful at different times but you'll use the 3/4 most often..

If you are picking a jointer for a specific repointing job, then it will depend on how big the joints are.

If the joints are big, then you want a wider jointer say a Marshalltown nr 81. Otherwise I'd go for the nr 82.

A narrow jointer will sink in too far and make the joints look crap

Avoid those horrible Ragni (?) ones which look rounded but are actually more of a V shape
