The belt normally gets taken off by a twig or whatever and is usually straight forward to wind back on.
As for the drive handle, either the handle is bent itself or occasionally if the handle turn wheels are left loose, the handlebar can spread a bit, allowing things to come adrift.
Either way, no worries so time to start cutting!
