Can the gas engineer move a gas meter for me ?

It is currently in a part of a bedroom, but this will become a new bathroom.

The property is a top floor flat in an old converted terrace (3 flats). The gas pipe comes up through the hall way i think (same place as the electric feed).

Or is this a job only for the gas supplier ?

Supplier or their authorised contractor moves the meter and then gas engineer re-connects to household appliances.

Or my national grid bloke, £300,00 quid on a Saturday morning. ;)

SGN have an online quote, not much use to you but your gas network may have the same.

As far as I am aware, a qualified ACS gas engineer who holds MET 1 can move a gas meter up to 2 meters (Not the ECV) with permission of the gas supplier

@trevorbayliss ... presume you are looking to re-site the meter into another room, so it's not just the meter to move but the EC Valve and incoming supply pipework too?
